Why do my teachers talk about students this way?
At my middle school, the teachers talk to us and about us in... a weird way. For example, when the teacher would say "I raise your hand if you want to go to recess." They would say "Raise your hand and we will release you." Release? Is it me or is that weird? It really gets on my nerves. And another example is during a fire drill one day I overheard two teachers talking and they said "The students are trained to go to their homeroom lines." Yes, he said trained. I feel like they're talking about us like were just dogs or something. And my friends all feel the same way. Why do the teachers talk about us like we're dogs?
