How would you react if a family member or friend put in a false allegation against someone?

I would try to convince them that reporting a false is as bad as itself, it is an emotional kind of . I'd try to reason with them and ask them why they want to ruin a person's life and reputation. I'd try to make them understand what really is and how terrible it is. It's not something you can lie about just to be vindictive.
