Best way to gain trust with zebra finches?

I have 2 zf's for at least 3 months now and i have a male and female. The male is begining to have alot of trust and me and if i come in the room he come over to me and starts beeping away and singing he turns his head when i speak as if trying to understand. But the female seems to be frightened of everything, she does her warning beep several times a day and i go and check on her and there is nothing there. She always seems so unsettled i was just wondering what there is i could do to gain her trust? I always make sure there are no sudden movements when i go to see her and talk calmly to them several times a day. Any help please?
